SERVICE WITH A HEART AND A SOUL
No matter how good the gear, it's not worth the titanium it's built with if it's not running properly.

That's where we come in. With basic guarantees to you like the fact that WE ALWAYS HAVE TECHNICIANS ON DUTY. It's a basic investment in our commitment to fulfil our promise to you that we'll take care of you and your gear so you can get out there and enjoy your cool bike, regardless of what it is you chose to ride. We service all brands and all makes. No matter what time of day. If we're open, there's at least two techs on staff, on site, in the tech shop and ready to help with free advice and helpful information. It's in our mission statement, it's on our freaking logo, it's in our DNA: SERVICE.

There's a plethora of places you can take your bike, snowboard or skis for service and while it may sound immodest, we do like to think we have the best tech-shop in the city for we certainly have the latest tools and technology and the most caring technicians working anywhere.

In fact there is virtually nothing we can't fix... From the hyper cool stuff to your Canadian Tire Special... No worries, we make money on fixing stuff... If it's broken or wonky, bring it in... We'll fix it. And if we can't - rest assured we'll find someone who can... We understand that you need your equipment to perform when you need it to perform... that's why we're here... To keep you out there having fun, summer or winter, on snow or off snow, pavement, the pipe, commuting, exploring, racing... We're here for YOU.

See, the way we look at it, pretty much anyone (even JF) can fix a flat or wax a board. However, not everyone can look at a problem and find innovative, economical yet no-compromise solutions and then back them up with a level of uniform craftsmanship and pride in a job well done like no-one in the business. The guys in our tech shop are among the elite in our industry. The reason why they deserve such high praise is that, quite simply, they care and they take their work very seriously.

Needless to say after all the praise we lavish upon them that we at Gord's are exceedingly proud of out technicians. All of them to a man are dedicated professionals who care for your gear with the utmost of respect and concern. They treat $300 bikes like they were $3000 bikes and it shows, they do the best ski and board tune-ups in the country, period. They have the very best equipment at their disposal and they are an incredibly large part of our ongoing success.

Come in, (better yet, call ahead and make an appointment) and sample what you've been missing over all these years: JL, James, Dan, Jared, Scotty and the gang: A tech support team that is not afraid or too proud to ask each other for help, to research problems, to collectively get together and make sure your service issue is solved promptly, correctly and at a fair price.

Click for bike service : ski service : board service and remember, all our work is guaranteed. we stand to a man (and a woman) behind our work. If for any reason you're not satisfied with the quality of work performed please let us know at JF@Gords.com and we promise we'll make it right.

EVER WONDER
Ever wonder how to fix your bike on your own? Ever wanted to get your fingers dirty with bike grease? Ever thought to yourself "If I had to, how would I ever go about changing a flat?" Well folks, wonder no more.

We have just the solution for inquisitive minds itching to learn the intricacies of bike repair and maintenance. It's called a "Tune Clinic" and in the next few paragraphs we'll lay it all out for you. From lube to basic maintenance to the right tools all the way to how to overhaul your drivetrain.

Gord's laid-back, no pressure Tune Clinics are just the ticket for all you mechanic wannabe's or for those of you who would just like to know the basics of bike maintenance.

Tune Clinics are available at our Kenaston Street location and only by appointment or pre-registration. We offer group clinics all the way to private one-on-one sessions. Simply Email our tune-clinic Guru and tech-shop manager, JL at JLR@Gords.com and he'll happily set you up with either a private or a group tune clinic.

$19.95
TUNE-UPS

Don't get us started on $19.95 tune-ups... How some folks think you can get a complete, quality tune-up performed by a qualified mechanic using more than a rubber mallet and a large flathead screw driver for $19.95 is mind boggling. Let's be clear on this one: While we're pretty aggressive on making sure we're not more expensive than the other place, when it comes to service, we unfortunately don't price match tune-ups. Our caring technicians are professionals, they are highly skilled, honest and hard working. They are proud of their level of craftsmanship and frankly, that kind of work costs money. Not a ton of money but certainly more than $19.95. Check the link below for our surprisingly affordable service rate sheet.

KNOWLEDGE
IS POWER

At the risk of sounding immodest, permit me to say that it's a fact: We have a pretty stacked team when it comes to pertinent and passionate knowledge about the sports we sell. We may not know the molecular density of every frame we sell but when it comes to tangible knowledge, we're not too bad. Whether
it be doing a grab off
a tabletop at Fernie,
riding Spruce Woods
to standing around waiting for a bus in February, there's SOMEONE in the store that's been there, done that. Whatever the endeavor, novice to expert: We're pretty confident we'll be able to help you achieve your goals. Just pop on by, let us know what your goals are, what your budget is and we'll do our very best to make it happen for you.

GORD'S PICKS UP SCOTT
It just made way too much sense. The emergence of Scott Bikes as a clear front-runner in the bike market as Europe's largest bike brand and simply because its bikes are so chock-full of tangible technologies ... and the fact that they simply ride like stink... Like we said, it just made sense.

Scott has been in the bike business since day one. Building fun, sexy, technically superior bikes that convey a passion for excellence in design in a way very few bike companies can match. Sure, there are those companies that eat, sleep, and drink engineering, pushing concepts on folks that no-one ever asked for to begin with (lefty, anyone?)... Scott is different. In a good way. Starting with the people who look after Scott in Canada led by bike guru Andrew, you get a sense these people deeply care about doing it right.

Drop in, check out theses great mountain bikes... you'll surprised by just how affordable these bikes are and just how sweet they ride.

THE RIDE
We've said it before: It's all about the ride. The ride to Seven Eleven, the ride to your buddies house, the ride we call Ingolf, the ride at Panorama, Fernie, The Seine River, the ride through the monkey trails at Assiniboine Park, the ride with your 30 favorite buddies or the ride with your daughter.

Yes the bike is important. But more important than the bike is the smile on your face much like the smile on everyone's face at the last Gord's Bike Club Wednesday Night Ride. What a tremendous ride that was, what a tremendous group of people we have on our rides. If you haven't been on one yet... Now's the time.

So get off your butt, dust off your bike, throw on your helmet and come riding with us! For more information on how we can help get you out, click on the following link:
