No matter what you paid for your bike, we're here for you

WHAT DO YOU GET WITH A GORD'S BIKE?
Without going into the usual "you get a great bike, professional service, brands that give a hoot about your experience, staff that care..." What you get when you buy a bike at Gord's is spelled-out clearly on all our sales-tags. And it's laid out in detail below for all to see.

GORD'S SERVICE PLAN
Nothing sucks more than buying a bike and being left all alone, trying to figure out what to do next from a maintenance point of view. We're not like that. When we sell you a bike we would like to think that it's the begining of a mutualy beneficial relationship. So when we say "don't worry about it" we're saying it like it's a good thing. Like we're going to be there for you. Before we spell out what we provide for free on all regular-priced bikes, allow us to point out that all clearance-priced bikes can be had with our service plan for an additional $125. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, here's what every new, non-clearanced-priced, Gord's bike comes with:

FIRST SEASON FREE MAINTENANCE
for your first season, if anything should go wrong with your bike, just bring in in to either shop (appointments are always appreciated) and provided it’s not impact, abuse, wear and tear or submersion related we’ll take care of it for FREE (parts may be extra) In the unlikely event that the work required is not covered, we will always
hook you up with discounted service rates.

PRIORITY SERVICE
As much as possible, we’ll always do our best to move your bike service to the front of the line. We always prioritize “Gord’s Bikes” as a thank you for supporting us. and to keep you riding!

FREE TUNE CLINICS
Knowledge is a beautiful thing. Let us teach you how to take care of your sweet new bike. A little bit of knowledge and a little lube here and there can ensure your riding experience is a long and pleasant one. With each bike sold, we extend a free tune-clinic to the owner. No charge, no pressure, non-intimidating... just an hour or so (at your leisure) to guide you through the maintenance process or to teach you the basics... like changing a flat or lubing your chain. So if you've purchased a bike from us recently, go ahead, don't be shy, Email Jared@Gords.com for the next class.

FIVE YEARS OF FREE TUNE UPS
Keep your bike running like new! At the rate of one complete tune-up per year we’ll provide you with 5 free yearly full tune-ups. The first of these will extend your warranty from 90 days to to two full years! (see lower for details). You will be given a tune card when you purchase your bike. Do not lose this card as it is equired in order for you to take advantage of these free tunes. Remember: This card can not be replaced.

FREE 30 DAY WARRANTY TUNE-UP
\After 30 Days (of riding) or 100km's (more or less) please drop off your bike at either Gord's location and leave it with us for a few days for your "Warranty Tune-up". It's simple THIS IS FREE OF CHARGE (except in the unlikely event that you should need non-warranty wear parts like tires, brake pads, bottom brackets and cables or extra cleaning). Doing so will automatically extend your -manufacturers defects- warranty from the standard 90 days to a full 2 years from date of purchase. You must have your "warranty tune-up" wihin your first season in order to activate the extended warranty.

FREE UNLIMITED ADJUSTMENTS
For as long as you own your bike, and as long as you don't abuse your bike, we'll never charge you for minor gear, brake or fit adjustments. Some other shops may or may not call this "lifetime free service", we call it what it is: Free unlimited adjustments FOR AS LONG AS YOU OWN YOUR BIKE.

TWO YEAR COMPONENT WARRANTY
As we stated above, provided youuse one of your 5 free tune-ups within the first season of you owning your bike, we'll extend your warranty and cover your bike with a comprehensive component warranty well beyond what any manufacturer offers.

You'll be covered against manufacturer's defects and related labor costs for a full two years from date of purchase. This warranty does not, however cover breakage from impact, abuse or excessive wear due to things like submersion or dirt jumping or poor maintenance. Not covered by our warranty: Tires due to wear or puncture (pinch flats included), bottom brackets or brake pads (including brake bleeds).

FULL FRAME WARRANTY
Most of our bikes come with a minimum 5 year frame warranty. Some of our bikes feature lifetime frame warranties protecting the owner against manufacturers defects. These warranties vary by supplier. We supplement those warranties by offering free frame prep labor (a $150 value) within the first 5 years. Of course, these warranty programs are void if your bike is abused, submerged, used to dirt jump or if winter ridden.

PERKS
Oh we're not quite done yet! Check in store for the list of perks that you get when you plunk down your dollars at Gord's for your next bike! For even more perks, go ahead, join Gord's Bike Club and see what it is to be part of the family.

KIDS ARE HUMANS TOO!
Often an afterthought for some bike shops, kids bikes (and kids in general) are a very big deal to us. We offer Junior bikes of all prices, from entry level all the way up to the best in kids performance bikes.

We're no dummies, we know who our future customers are and since we plan on being around for a long, long time, it makes perfect sense for us to make sure we take care of our younger customers the right way.

Be forewarned. While (as we've stated above) we offer bikes for almost any budget, we don't sell crap... So if what you're looking for is a super-cheapie discount-special, we may not be your first stop. but if you want your kid to be safe, comfortable and enjoy biking, (especialy if you would rather he or she not end up like that kid down the block that lives in his basement playing XBOX360 on those gorgeous summer days) then drop on by either store, we'll show you how a bike should fit and how a bike should never outweigh its user... We'll find the perfect bike and no, it won't cost you an arm and a leg. PLUS we'll talk to you about our unique junior bike trade-in program and help you convince your child that wearing a helmet is not only smart, it's also cool.

LOWEST PRICE POLICY
Of course you don't want to pay more for the same stuff! Who would? We understand that when it comes to saving a dollar some of us can go a little overboard... spend more on gas than the actual difference in price... To help you out, we have this little thing called Gord's lowest price policy...

TEST IT
THEN SELL IT

It's a simple principle by which we live and die: "Only sell what you yourself would buy". After all, life's too short to sell crap, life's too short to buy crap. To make sure we're crapless we go through much time and effort to ensure that everything we sell is up
to our lofty standards.

GORD'S LOVES SCOTT BIKES

Scott has been in the bike business since day one. Building fun, sexy, technically superior bikes that convey a passion for excellence in design in a way very few bike companies can match. Sure, there are those companies that eat, sleep, and drink engineering, pushing concepts on folks that no-one ever asked for to begin with (lefty, anyone?)... Scott is different. In a good way. Starting with the people who look after Scott in Canada led by bike guru Andrew, you get a sense these people deeply care about doing it right.

Drop in, check out theses great mountain bikes... you'll surprised by just how affordable these bikes are and just how sweet they ride.

THE RIDE
We've said it before: It's all about the ride. The ride to Seven Eleven, the ride to your buddies house, the ride we call Ingolf, the ride at Panorama, Fernie, The Seine River, the ride through the monkey trails at Assiniboine Park, the ride with your 30 favorite buddies or the ride with your daughter.

Yes the bike is important. But more important than the bike is the smile on your face much like the smile on everyone's face at the last Gord's Bike Club Wednesday Night Ride. What a tremendous ride that was, what a tremendous group of people we have on our rides. If you haven't been on one yet... Now's the time:
